Fabulous Frogs (45 minutes)

Students will sit in a half circle on the floor of the Center or classroom.  Slides of Connecticut's frogs and toads will be shown  first to introduce the special features of amphibians and the variety found in our state.  Next, live amphibians will be brought out of their containers including;  bullfrog, green frog, pickeral frog, wood frog, gray tree frog,  American toad. (Species may vary depending on availability)  Students will learn the different lifestyles and adaptations of each frog and will have a chance to see them move.  Students will also have a chance to touch selected species.
