Trash to Treasure: In-Kind Gifts

You never know...one person’s trash just might be another person’s treasure.  As a conservation organization, ELCCT maintains a policy of reusing and recycling in order to maximize the efficiency of our resources.  One way that helps us do this is in-kind donations of used items by individuals and businesses.  Items that are in excess or no longer needed by individuals or organizations are often of benefit to the Center.  With the passage of time our educational, maintenance, and office resources may become obsolete or show wear.  In-kind gifts can help ELCCT revitalize these resources in order to aid in our continued mission.

Often times the Center does not have access to the most up-to-date technology, so next time you are upgrading your technology please remember the Center – your old technology just may be what the Center is looking for!  Furthermore, as the Center continues to expand, other donations may also be valuable in helping the Center fulfill the needs of growing educational opportunities and maintenance demands.

Throughout the past year the Center has excitedly received gifts such as a display board, a variety of cabinets, locker units, and other storage containers, four line telephones, Pentium II computers, computer monitors, networking supplies, a photocopier, an arrowhead collection, a 1990 four-wheel drive pick-up, a Kodak slide projector and equipment, and a canoe.  The Center would like to thank our friends and supporters for these generous in-kind contributions.

The Center is always appreciative of all the support the community provides.  If you would like to make a donation to or become involved with ELCCT please contact the ELCCT office at (860) 589-8200.
