Indian Rock Capital Campaign

Thank you to all the generous donors to our capital campaign!

Over the past 10 years, through the gifts of many individuals, foundations, businesses and State and Federal grants, the Indian Rock Nature Preserve has completed many important capital projects.  As of 2010, over $3,000,000 has been given to the $3,200,000 campaign, leaving only $200,000 remaining to be raised.

Through the efforts of the campaign, the Preserve has expanded from 150 acres to 280 acres.

The Preserve added 13,000 square feet of educational space, tripling its capacity to serve students and families.  This expansion included the addition of 2 workshops to the Orchard House activity building and the construction of a new 12,600 square foot educational building currently known as the Bird Building.

The remaining $200,000 of the campaign is needed to fund additional finish work for the new education building.   Donors can help us to complete the campaign by helping to fund the completion of the following areas:

East Workshop    $35,000    movable divider wall, trim, blinds, tables, chairs
