Farm Life Experiences

Apples & Cider (1.5 Hours)

Visit the orchard; sample varieties of apples while you learn their tastes and uses; press and sample fresh apple cider.
Fee: $5.00/student

Early American Experiences

Colonial Times ( 2 to 6 Hours)

This program has a choice of 12 different half hour units to make an all day colonial experience.  A minimum of 4 units must be chosen.  The choices are as follows:  Colonial Natural History, Blacksmithing, Fireplace Cooking I, Fireplace Cooking II, Colonial Beekeeping, Cider Making, Wool Felting, Surveying, Whisk Broom Making, Corn Husk Dolls, Stenciling, Hayride.  Click here for a detailed description of each program and scheduling information.

Nature Experiences

Fall Foliage Walk (1.5 Hours)
Experience the forest at its colorful best. Unravel the reasons for the changes in the woodland colors and begin a leaf collection for the classroom.

Pre-school Autumn Sensory Safari (1.5 Hours)

Explore the changing seasons as you travel through the forest and around Indian Lake on our engine pulled hay wagon. Fall colors, animal hibernation and migration, plus other seasonal responses of plants and animals, will be emphasized.

Minimum Fees

Unless otherwise noted, programs have a minimum fee of $70/hour of instructional time per one of our instructors.  A program scheduled during our prime season (Sept. 15th - Dec. 1st and April 1st to the end of school) that starts before 11:00a.m. and does not end by 11:30a.m. will have a daily minimum per instructor fee of $280 for a Field Trip and $300 for an Out to School program.
