     K-4:

·   Explain ways in which humans use and interact with environments.

     5-8:

·    Demonstrate and explain ways that humans depend on, adapt to and alter the physical environment.

Connecticut Core Science Curriculum Framework:

4.2 - All organisms depend on the living and nonliving features of the environment for 

        survival.   Describe how animals directly or indirectly depend on plants to provide

        the food and energy they need in order to grow and survive.  Describe how natural

        phenomena and some human activities may cause changes to habitats and their

        inhabitants.
